HUMAN RESOURCE PRACTICES AND EMPLOYEE PERFORMANCE IN KENYA MEDICAL TRAINING COLLEGE WESTERN REGION

The purpose of this study was to establish the influence human resource practices on employee performance in Kenya Medical Training College Western region. specific objectives were to: determine career development, appraisal, job promotion and recognition research adopted a descriptive survey design. target population 88 respondents comprising Departmental heads, Administrative Officers, Lecturers, Accountants, Supply Chain Management Officer, Clerical officers ICT officer from five KMTC college campuses Kakamega, Bungoma, Webuye, Busia Vihiga. A sample size selected using census sampling. Questionnaires used collect primary data. Data collected analyzed both inferential statistics. Results were: development had positive, linear significant (p-value is less than 0.05) with performance; there statistically positive relationship between appraisals that performance. therefore concluded has effect region as it significantly accounted for 67.1% variation. recommended management should create opportunities advancement employees, offer training ground movement within organisation. adhere strictly its policy, ensure process fair employees are promoted based merit be provided feedback after appraisal carried out provide an opportunity self-review reflection employees.
